Guest Resume: William D. Shapiro, Esq.

Bill Shapiro is the founding partner of the Law Offices of William D. Shapiro in San Bernardino, California, and he has been practicing law since 1979. Bill handles a broad variety of tort cases including personal injury, back/spinal injury, wrongful death, head/brain injuries, amputations, car accidents, truck accidents, motorcycle accidents, defective products, public entity liability, and insurance bad faith.  

Bill is a Diplomate in the American Board of Trial Advocates. He is the National ABOTA Vice President in 2024 and 2025 and will be the National ABOTA President in 2026.

Bill is also a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers, a Fellow in the International Academy of Trial Lawyers, and a Fellow in the International Society of Barristers.

Bill has served in many bar leadership positions. He serves on the State Board of Governors for the Consumer Attorneys of California, is a past president of the San Bernardino/Riverside ABOTA Chapter and is a past president of the Consumer Attorneys of Inland Empire.    

Bill has received numerous awards for his trial advocacy. He was recognized in Top Verdicts in 2022 by the LA Daily Journal. He was named the CAL-ABOTA Trial Lawyer of the Year in 2015, and he has been named Trial Lawyer of the Year in other years by other bar associations including the Consumer Attorneys of Los Angeles, the Orange County Trial Lawyers Association, the Consumer Attorneys of the Inland Empire, and the Western San Bernardino County Bar Association.

In addition to all this legal accomplishment, Bill is a professional kick-ass great guitar and pedal-steel guitar player.
