Steve has been practicing law since 1983 and he is a partner in the law firm of Quattlebaum, Grooms & Tull in Little Rock. Arkansas. Steve is primarily a defense lawyer, but he has also tried cases for plaintiffs. 

Steve has tried approximately 80 civil jury trials as lead counsel, including products liability, toxic tort, environmental, breach of fiduciary duty, breach of contract, premises liability, copyright infringement, vehicle accident, and other cases. He has also tried many non-jury trials.

Steve is a member of the American Boar of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). He served as the National ABOTA President in 2023, and he served as the Arkansas Chapter President in 2004.

Steve has been a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers since 2017, and a Fellow in the International Academy of Trial Lawyers since 2004.

Steve has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America® since 2001. He is currently recognized in the areas of Bet-the-Company Litigation, Commercial Litigation, Insurance Law, Mass Tort Litigation/Class Actions – Defendants, Personal Injury Litigation – Defendants, Product Liability Litigation – Defendants. Steve has received numerous awards, including being named the Little Rock Bet-the-Company Litigation Lawyer of the Year in several years.
